The existing design issue is the roof's sloping direction that allows rainwater to spill into the seating area. My solution involves making two layers of roofing. The lower layer is designed to shelter those seated beneath it, sloping outward to minimize rainwater spillage. The upper layer has a central slope, acting as a funnel to collect rainwater for irrigating the central tree.
